Sources & licenses

Scripture editions are labeled in the reader. Study explanations are ministry writing; sources for particular claims stay with their lessons.

KJV: the inherited text identifies Project Gutenberg eBook #10. The ordinary KJV text is public domain in the United States. The publisher’s notice describes separate UK Crown publishing rights. Removal of the browser’s regional display check is not a statement of worldwide permission.

Other included editions: WEB, ASV and YLT are public-domain texts. The inherited distribution record names Free Use Bible API. The World English Bible name identifies that translation, not an altered version.

Hebrew and JPS 1917: the Tanakh reader requests the exact “Tanach with Nikkud” and “The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation (JPS 1917)” editions through Sefaria. They need an internet connection. This does not include modern JPS translations or other Sefaria commentaries.

Artwork and contributions: permission to reuse Scripture does not automatically cover site artwork, recordings or contributed work. Please contact us about a particular item. Registering contributor interest does not transfer ownership; any agreed use is handled separately.
